Today, 2.3.2007, HelloGhost has a new site at http://www2.helloghost.com. This old site, the one you are reading now, is going to be 'Read Only'. You will not be able to sign up for a new account, but all existing accounts will stay. However, I do encourage you to look at the new site and perhaps join if you're really into the paranormal.

I'm glad to finally update the site again, I've also added more awards that I've received. I'm really not sure what you could call this experiment, I guess maybe a ghost cam or paranormal cam or something like that. Ever since my experiment with Infrared, I've been tinkering. I started thinking more about the fact that us, as humans, can see so very little of what's really out there. Click here for an even bigger and nicer image of the spectrum in a new browser window.

Since our eyes can't see anything outside of the Visible Spectrum, but yet dogs seem to see what we can't, I wondered if an electronic device could 'see' what we're missing; similar to how a digital voice recorder detects EVP's, and how the fire departments thermal camera can see hot and cold:

So, the question is 'What frequency are ghosts?'. I don't know, but I expect my new ghost camera will help. I'm not a pro at anything regarding light, frequency, or even electronics, but this new box I made is pretty neat. Not only does it detect visible light, it also detects Infra-Red, Ultra Violet, and Microwaves. This box takes data from it's sensors and turns it into electronic impulses. These impulses can be recorded to a PC or preferably a Digital Voice Recorder, and then opened and analyzed with computer software. Where I lack time and money is actually turning the data into an image. So, although the camera can't prove the existence of a ghost or spirit, it can add to existing evidence. More importantly, since you can see an actual waveform, you can rule out other sources of your suspected ghost. Let me give a demonstration.
My ghost camera takes light sources, both visible and invisible, and turns them into a visible waveform that you can see. Let's say you see a strange light in the corner of the house. What is it? Well, if the waveform looks like this, then the light is from a 120VAC (volts A/C) light source:
Or, if the waveform looks like this one, then your 'ghost' is really a reflection from lightning from a rainstorm:

As you can see, everything visible has a unique frequency; almost like a signature. Now we'll move on to signatures that we can't see. Here is an image of the waveform for Infra-Red:
And here is a Microwave as shown with the camera:

Now, for a real-life scenario. After using our camera to take a picture of suspected paranormal activity, we acquired this image:

After we used the software to expand the image, we see the following:

Our suspected paranormal entity looks very similar to a 120VAC light source, mostly by the rightmost curvature. It even looks like there's some abnormalities in the voltage.
Another nice thing about this camera is that you can do other things with it as well. I used the camera on some property where cellular phones do not work. If you step off of the property out into the street, the cell phones work. But not in this persons yard. Here is what I found:

It appears that these are radio or microwaves. Since nothing is uniform, it indicates that data is present. As we look into this further, we found that there was a radio tower less than 1 mile from his house, and by coincidence his front yard was right in the path of the transmission. This didn't turn out to be a UFO like we thought. Drat! (This person had actually witnessed a UFO overhead a year or so before, that's why he suspected it to be related.)
So, the idea of the camera is to either debunk the suspected or, hopefully, catch an actual ghost or spirit in electronic form. Knowing what frequency they reside at is, I think, a key to successful communication. I'm keeping copies of everything I capture and creating baselines for comparison.
In closing for this particular part, I guess we don't know what frequency ghosts are yet. Once we start seeing some real paranormal activity, you can bet our new box will be a key part in debunking, or proving, the suspected activity.
