Last night I got lucky when I felt I was being watched. Feeling the tingling down my spine prompted me to fetch photos of the area. All of that is what you read yesterday. But you didn’t read what happened after I made my post…

As my wife and I were watching our weekly TV Soap Opera that we recorded (Vegas), my wife leapt off of the couch and started looking all around. She stated that she felt a very cold gust of air slide passed her, and that it actually blew her hair. She was freaked out, plain and simple. She had goosebumps, she was rubbing her arms as they were crossed, and she kept asking me if I had felt it; which I can't say I did. Since we had no windows open, and it wasn’t that cold outside anyway, we pretty much knew what it was. Or what it wasn’t anyway. It wasn’t the wind.

We got up and I took the dog out back to do his business while she disappeared elsewhere in the house. As I was watching the dog, I saw, with my own eyes, a round glowing ball of light traveling towards the well. I wasn’t weirded out at all; I thought it was fascinating.  The ball of light was approximately 30 feet from me. It looked to be about 8 inches around from that distance. I’m sure the math geeks can let me know what they expect the actual size was. Anyway, it was moving at about the speed that a person could run. I saw it for about 5 seconds, and then it disappeared by the well. I told my wife, then ran and grabbed a camera, followed by a few blind pictures of the darkness. I thought about what I had seen, and thought that it would be explained as ball lightening by scientists and those not familiar with the other things that have been going on. I actually starting thinking that maybe that's what it was after all. It was the first I've seen something like that here, and I've heard it mentioned before.

When we returned to the PC to look at the images, it was then that I remembered a suggestion. Perhaps this 'area' may be some form of portal for spirit travel. My wife tends to agree with that theory as well, and with so many pictures of things that aren't visible with the naked eye, it certainly seems possible. {Updated Note: The first two images were found last night, while the rest were tonight; the 20th}

 (This guy is a smaller shot because it was the far left of the image.)

A lot of activity tonight. I wonder why this night and not others. I'm going to have to write this down in the calendar from now on. I'll see if there's a pattern to it. By the way, these images were taken with the Fuji FinePix. Not that you really care, since you believe there's something here. The skeptics though, like to rule out every possibility before believing something they can't seem to fathom. It's really no wonder why the human race hasn't advanced much in paranormal discovery for umpteen thousand years. You know how I feel about that though. I was closed minded once. 2 liters of caffeine a day has shown me the light. Don't mention 'the light' to the ghost though; I'm not done with it yet. The last thing I want it to do is head toward the light. Is that bad? ;-)

And let some professionals take a look into all of these spooky occurences.

May I just say that your site is very interesting. I just recently found it and read a few of your stories before, but made the time tonight (and will from now on) to start reading your archived stories. I'm not sure I'll be able to stop until I've finished them all. :) I live in a very old house and have had some "strange" occurances go on since I've lived here. My TV has turned itself on or off at times, stereo also. I sleep downstairs and my children up, and there have been times that I've heard footsteps and the kids swear there were no bathroom trips or anything. In fact my son has heard them from up there before and asked me about it too. When I first moved here, I had made a trip to the store and my 13 year old daughter met me at the door when I got home almost hysterical. She said that it sounded like someone had walked up the basement steps, possibly dropped something (like a metal "clang"), and went back down. Then I was in the basement one day doing laundry and my other daughter, then 2, was next to me looking into the next room where there is an old workbench and she said "Daddy's here!". He does not live here and at the time was driving a vehicle that could always be heard pulling into the driveway, even when in the basement, and I did not hear it so I of course said "no he's not". We argued about it back and forth for a minute and then she said "yes he is. He's right there" and showed me where she thought him to be standing in the other room in front of the work bench. Of course my hair stood on end at that point. Especially with the experience my older daughter had had involving the basement. My ex-husband has very dark hair and a mustache so I'm assuming she saw a similar man in the other room. She also claimed she saw soomething through the window one day and called it....are you ready for this...a piggy. Ever read the Amittyville Horror? I usually do not feel scared but that one really freaked me out! I, however have never actually seen anything. I have felt what felt like a hand or something on the cushion of my chair next to my shoulder ( it actually felt like an indentation in the cushion) of course nothing was there when I looked. I also see things out of the corner of my eye quite often but when I look straight on there is nothing. There have been a few other minor occurances. I've been thinking I should go to the library and research the history of my house (any way to do that on-line that you know of?) What do you think? Think it would be worth my efforts? I don't have a digital camera but I think I'll get one, partially for the reasons above. Which brings me to why I chose to comment on this particular page. The second image from above is particularly eerie to me. Is there any way you could post a larger shot of that one and maybe even play with it a little in photo shop and see what it turns up? That one grabs my attention.
Great site and thanks so much for sharing.
